Maria Eugenia Hirmas
Former Director of the Sociocultural Area of the Presidency of Chile

Graduate in Sociology from the University of Chile; Master in Social Communication with a mention in Policies and Planning of Social Communication in Latin America from the Central University of Venezuela. She is currently director of the Coopeuch Foundation, of the Chilean Chapter of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington and president of the ANAR Foundation. She is also a member of the Council of Matucana 100 and ComunidadMujer. With vast experience in her area, she has worked in various organizations and institutions. She was coordinator of Citizen Networks and head of the Department of Press Communications and Public Relations of SERNAM. She was also a researcher at CENECA and ILET. In addition, she was director of ComunidadMujer between 2006 and 2016, executive director of the Todo Chilenter Foundation and sociocultural director of the Presidency of Chile during the period 2007-2010. In this position she presided over the seven foundations that depend on the Presidency of the Republic: Integra, PRODEMU, Family Foundation, Artesanías de Chile, Mirador Interactive Museum, Youth and Children's Orchestras of Chile, and Chilenter.
